Hulse Edition Carbon 2.5" 2-Tube Bypass Airshock

Exclusively available only through Hulse Engineering, produced in partnership by Carbon Shock Technologies.

A completely custom airshock designed from the ground up by Hulse Engineering exclusively for hardcore rock crawling.

Rebound bypass tube for the top 8" of stroke. This allows you to set your ride height at 4" of uptravel and have a free moving unrestricted 4" of up travel and 4" of down travel for soaking up all the annoying bumps and chop on the trail, but not enough bypass zone that you lose stability in the rocks once the shock reaches 8" of extension and the bypass zone is closed. This allows the shock to be valved to still have massive amounts of stability that would traditionally mean sacrificing all of your ride quality.

Compression bypass tube for the full stroke up until the last 2". This allows the shock to basically have a built in 2" hydraulic bump stop to resist bottom out. By doing this you can now run lower uptravel amounts (typically 4") and still have excellent ride quality for the bumps and chop without riding like a brick and without having the suspension bottom out constantly due to the bump stop action with the bypass tube and our custom piston and valving.

Unique compression bypass valve assembly location specifically designed for rock crawlers, especially with portal axles. Traditional compression bypass tubes have the valve assembly mounted at the very bottom of the shock body near the lower eyelet, this becomes a problem in most rock crawlers and especially portal axles as that means the compression valve assembly is hanging below the axle tube and exposed to the rocks risking damage and shock failure. By moving the compression valve up the body you now gain massive amounts of clearance at the bottom of the shock where things are more likely to see an impact.

Thumb adjustable bypass clicker assemblies, no need for an allen key and wrench to adjust the bypass. Adjust anytime with no tools. 30 position clickers so you have plenty of room to fine tune the bypass.

Custom piston design and valve stacks especially tailored for use in hardcore rock crawling to provide maximum stability and maximum efficiency of bypass zones.

Custom eyelets top and bottom for increased strength.

Custom misalignment spacers to maximize uniball articulation. (standard 1.5" mounting width)

1.625" shaft

1/2" mounting bolt diameter

Black Cerakote standard

100% made in the USA

Available in 14", 16", 18", and 20" stroke.

Only available in 2.5" body versions.

Stroke - Compressed/Extended Lengths -

14" - 21.8"/35.8"

16" - 23.8"/39.8"

18" - 25.8"/43.8"

20" - 27.8"/47.8"

By special request we can add a 2" internal droop limiter to reduce the stroke of the shock 2" so you can have a longer shock with less travel (example - order an 18" shock with a 2" limiter so you get a shock that is 25.8" compressed but only has 16" stroke and 41.8" extended length). This will match up to the stroke/lengths of many other airshocks on the market to make swapping them out easier without having to change mounts. YOU MUST REQUEST THIS IN THE ORDER NOTES or contact me if you want this added. There will be a $25 upcharge on each shock to add this option.
