PLEASE SELECT YOUR CORRECT STYLE "C" ABOVE SO YOU GET THE CORRECT MOUNTS
Lower Shock Tabs designed to mount to the lower half of the "C" on JFH Portal axles with the fabricated C or forged C (please select the correct style for the JHF C you have). Designed for steering axles only. Allows shock mount to be located anywhere along the straight lower half of the C and welded in to dial in your ride height and shock travel. Fit's 1.5" shock eyelet spacers and 2.0" or 2.5" Airshocks and ORI's only. Include tabs for 4 shocks, enough for 1 car front and rear. Comes un-welded and will require assembly.
If you are running forged C's and mounting the shock any lower than in the picture, you will need to purchase the "Forged C - Low Mount" mounts. These move the shock out farther away from the bell of the C and offset the shock inwards more to give clearance for full 50* of steering. If mounting the shock at the high in the picture or higher than stick with the regular "Forged C" mounts as the additional inward offset of the low mount version will get into the lower link mount if mounted that high up on the C.
Fabricated C installation tip, the longer of the two side mounting tabs goes on the inside of the "C" (towards the center of the axle) to account for the rolled edge of the "C".
Forged C installation tip, the longer of the two side mounting tabs goes on the inside of the "C" (towards the center of the axle) and gets fully welded around entire perimeter and plug weld holes to greatly increase amount of welded surface to reduce chances of cracking from welding to forged material. Pre-heat of the "C" to 300-400* and welding on the hotter side is recommended when welding to any forged or cast part. Then wrap the part and let it cool slowly.
