Ram mount/truss/axle skid plate designed for Trail Gear 9" housings using JHF Portals.
These are designed to use my 3" Slammed Ram Clamps (available separately) to mount your steering ram as close and tight to the axle to gain the most amount of clearance and approach/departure angle.
They are available for a centered rear diff housing, an 8" passenger offset front diff housing, and an 8" driver offset front diff housing. The front WILL require the ram clamp base itself to be frenched into the housing and clearance'd on the inside for the ring gear. This keeps the steering ram as close as possible to the axle. In addition to providing a base and skid plate for your ram the 2-piece design sandwiches the axle tube from C to C on a 70" WMS axle and also acts as a truss. It can also be modified to work on narrower or wider WMS axles. There is also an integrated winch line attachment hook for your suck down winch and drain holes in the center and both side corners, so water and dirt don't collect inside the skid.
These are made out of 3/16 Strenx 100XF material which has a yield strength of 100ksi, which is almost 3x stronger than standard A36 Steel at only 36ksi and even 30% stronger than 4130 Chromoly plate at only 67ksi. This means you get a 25% lighter assembly than traditional mount/skid/truss setups that use 1/4" A36 Steel while still having even more strength.
They can also be used on traditional straight axle setups (such as Dana 60/Superduty/ Spidertrax/etc outers) if the ram height works for your application. With the diff flange perfectly square at 0*, the ram centerline is 3.875" above the axle tube centerline when using my 3" slammed ram mount clamps.
